WINCHESTER HIGH WALL SPECIAL ORDER MUSKET WITH TWO SETS OF BARRELS AND A FULL NICKEL FINISH
One barrel is .22 LR and the other is .22 Short. Original wood looks like it has a very light coat of linseed or something applied but is unsanded and is in excellent+ condition. Should make a fine shooter as both barrels have excellent bores. Was originally shipped with the 22LR barrel. On one of its later return trips to the factory, the second barrel was undoubtedly added, and the entire setup was nickel plated. Research indicates that both barrels were originally tapped for Krag rear sights, which were later removed in favor of a tang sight. Overall excellent with 98% pleasing nickel finish remaining. Very unusual-the only set of it's kind that I know of.
Sold by Merz in 2008, and again in 2012.
