VERY SCARCE WINCHESTER MODEL 73, 28” BULL BBL, 2ND MODEL DELUXE RIFLE IN CALIBER 44-40
Orig sights, near exc bore. Orig wood shows some use with some wear to the checkering but no splits or cracks; in generally VG+ cond with rifle style buttplate. Overall metal is very nice with traces of blue turning brown on the bbl and mag, sharp corners, exc markings. Receiver was originally case colored, now it is more of a nickelly silver coloration and turning dark. Nice, clean, all orig little gun. Extremely scarce in the 28" bull bbl length. The end of the bbl measures a full inch across the muzzle making it a huge gun. All original. Complete with set trigger and Cody Research Form verifying all features. An interesting historic note was found rolled up inside the butt, dated 1943, stating that this gun came out of Death Valley California. An outstanding artifact from the Old West, in a very desirable configuration.
