NIMSCHKE ENGRAVED CASED COLT LIGHTNING REVOLVER USED BY BETTY GRABLE IN .38 CALIBER WITH 5 BARREL
Used by Betty Grable in the 20th Century Fox Film 'The Beautiful Blonde from Bashful Bend,' directed by Preston Sturges. The backstrap is stamped with initials 'T.O.B.', a later stamping under the bbl reads '20 CEN FOX'. Quite elaborate scroll engraving along with New York style motifs engraving. Corners are sharp and overall gun shows very little use. Pearl grips are in fine condition with 95% gold gilting remains on the gun. The fancy French style leatherette casing has Romantic style gold embossment on it's top with a blue velveteen liner. Six dummy silver bullets are also in the case. The casing is a bit tattered and scuffed but looks good. Formerly in the prestigious Dr. Marohn collection. This extremely unique item also comes with a copy of the movie in which you can see it quite plainly in several scenes.
