HENRY CIVIL WAR INSCRIBED LEVER ACTION RIFLE
Frank W. Meese, Kane PA" marked on the side of the receiver. Gun is listed in Wiley Sword's Henry book as a well known, documented Civil War rifle and is in exc+ cond with exc bbl markings, 8,XXX serial number range, sharp corners, very pleasing plum bluish brown patina, no pitting, traces of blue in the protected area, receiver is a very pleasing dark mustard patina coloration. Wood shows a few minor dings and mars but no splits or cracks and is complete with the correct 2nd Model brass buttplate, sling swivels and orig sights. Very fine, good looking Civil War documented Henry rifle. Hard to improve upon this one!
