CUSTER SERIAL RANGE COLT SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER SN 4672
U.S. Martially marked w/the small 'a', indicating Ainsworth, inspector mark. Gun is considered to be the finest Custer era Colt in private hands; formerly in the Jonathan Peck collection. Overall superb cond retaining a considerable amount of orig blue and case colors on the frame. Correct 7 1/2 bbl, all matching serial numbers including the ejector housing. The exc one piece walnut grips have the 'D' inspectors mark on the right hand side but are missing the usual cartouche frequently found but not always seen, on the left hand side. Overall superb; well documented.
