1840 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE CONVERTED TO MUZZLE LOADER

Features a 42" bbl. 69 cal. Gun retains all the correct features such as 3 retaining bbl bands. Lock is marked "D. Nippes" followed with US markings underneath. Also on the lock plate is marked "Mill Creek PA 1841". Overall gun is generally VG with good cartouches. Metal has turned plum-brown patina. Correct sling swivels still intact. Mechanical cond is VG. A few minor dings and a small crack in front of the lock plate. Other than that it is a very fine all original untouched little gun.
