Made by the Rock Island Arsenal and stamped '1910'. Inspectors initials 'H.E.K.' also stamped on back. Crisp U.S. marking on front. Holster is complete, even bottom plug and ring are present. Holster and belt in Mexican floral style. Very attractive rig with elaborate peato cactus fiber used for all the embellishments, designs, seaming and rib. Very fine condition belt and holster in a large size. Many, many cartridge loops for .32-20/.357 size cartridge. The holster is for a 4-3/4 bbl length in Colt or other single action. If you want something different, this is a very impressive gun belt rig.

For 5-1/2 or shorter Single Action. Medium height arch and wide throat. A real heavy reddish/brown dye on holster body; probably the second one on this belt. Old but age is uncertain. Newly built in Texas by superb leather craftsmen. They are patterned in the Buscadero Fast-Draw style with the exposed triggerguard. The holster body is of the single loop, medium arch, sloping throat, open toe design. Rigid back panel with no exposed skirting. The belt is the classical drop-loop style with cartridge loops. They can be had in plain or tooled. Three different colors include natural, russet and black. Several waist sizes and bbl lengths available. Belt and holster body are both lined. Really neat heavy dovetail-jointed wooden crate measuring 11-5/8 x 11-5/8 x 43-3/4 inches. Each end is labelled "10 Winchester Carbines Model 1895" in black, with the W logo & trademark info printed in red. These markings are heavy, stamped into the wood. The caliber "30 ARMY" & some sort of an order number (hard to read) were printed lighter, apparently as the case was filled. Inside are some dividers for the guns. Overall crate is in very good condition. The internal dividers are partially present. Stapled to the side of the crate is a folded piece of paper which appears to have the following serial numbers on it: 401929, 401979, 402053, 402069, 402107, 402243, which would date the case to 1921.
