(EL-8822) EXTREMELY RARE WINCHESTER DOUBLE BARREL MATCH SHOTGUN
12 Gauge with 32" bbls. The match grade, of course, was the highest quality Winchester Double Bbl Shotgun that you could get and this one is a fine example. Very nice markings, some case colors remaining on the frame, bbls have mostly grayed out, very nice, clean, smooth metal, bright shiny good bores, nice tight pivot pin and lock-up. Wood is also in VG cond with no cracks around the locks or off of the tangs. Forearm wood has a small splinter missing on each side towards the forearm cap, ebony inlay. Featuring a 26" bbl marked 'Skeet', solid rib, orig nicely figured wood is checkered with a straight stock and a 15" pull to the end of the correct Winchester buttplate. A rather streaked, aged appearance to the receiver, clean, smooth metal that probably had a little cold blue put on it at one time or another. Bbl exhibits some different colorations from gray to brown to some decent blue and some light pin prick rust pitting. Wood is in reasonably good shape, slightly loose in the take-down which is easy to remedy. Not the prettiest Winchester shotgun you'd have but it sure is pretty on the inside: NICE bore! Good gun for the money. e

12 Gauge. 26" bbl marked "Cylinder" which is very scarce. Some blue, some brown on the receiver; a very aged but also a very pleasing look. Bbl retains most blue which possibly has been redone; if so, a very nice job of it. Wood is in quite good cond with a couple of slight hairline cracks on the stock, correct metal buttplate, good forearm wood. (8581-14-309) WINCHESTER MODEL 21 GRAND AMERICAN, 2-BARREL CASED SET
The 26" bbl is choked Skeet and Skeet, the 30" bbl choked full and modified. Orig pistol grip stock has a 14" pull to the end of the orig pad, typical Grand American fleur d'lis checkering, engraving is also quite typical for a Grand American with a duck inlaid in gold on both sides of the receiver and a gold inlaid setter on the bottom, raised ventilated ribs on both bbls, serial number 33,061. Overall cond is exc+ retaining virtually all of the orig blue and is one of the last guns engraved by John Kusmit before he retired. The top of the rib reads, "Custom Built by Winchester for John R. Woods", triggerguard is marked "J.R.W." and these initials are also gold embossed on the side of the Winchester case which is in exc+ cond with just some very minor handling marks showing. Woods was a pretty well known individual in the gun business; he started the Winchester Club of America and the Woods Foundation out of St. Louis, MO. ~~> VIEW PHOTO <~~ e

(8675-14-123) VERY FINE FACTORY ENGRAVED WINCHESTER MODEL 97 BLACK DIAMOND TRAP
This gun features the typical trap shooting scene on one side of the receiver and a hunting scene on the other side. Marked on top of the receiver: 'Presented to W.B. Weidler by the members of the Buck Creek Hunting Club, 1907'. This inscription is in the Factory Letter as are all the other specifications on the gun. Overall gun has been used some but is in very nice cond with a 28" bbl, full choke, fine bore, matted rib. Orig 3X checkered deluxe grade Black Diamond wood is in very nice+ cond with a considerable amount of orig varnish and the correct hardrubber buttplate. Overall metal retains a considerable amount of blue which is starting to turn a plummish coloration with good traces of blue on bbl and mag; the receiver retains about half the blue. Nice, clean, all orig gun complete with Factory Letter. e

26" solid rib, modified choke, bbl retains almost all blue, forearm is in very nice cond, VG bore. The front half of this gun is serial numbered just over a million, serial range on the receiver is 575,XXX; it has had some cleaning done and is mostly a grayish coloration, nice slick action. Buttstock has some extra figure and is in good to VG cond, a White Line recoil pad has been added. Nice, slick handling Model 12; somewhat hard to find in a 20 gauge. Decent gun.

 Very interesting gun. Engraved on both sides of the receiver is a trap shooting scene. This is a factory pattern that Winchester used occasionally but is rarely seen. Gun features two 28" bbls; one modified, one full and retaining approximately 80-90% orig blue. Both forearms are checkered deluxe burl wood. Rec retains 70-75% orig blue with a slight toning of brown appearing here and there. Orig wood has been freshened and recheckered but is not sanded or undersized; looks to be in fine cond; complete with a red Winchester recoil pad. Very scarce 2-bbl set. Accompanying this unique item are half a dozen brass projectiles that were shot out of the barrel.
