10 Gauge. 32" bbl, nice receiver blue and a thinning blue on the bbl, mag tube retains quite a little blue as well. Metal is in good cond with a few areas of pin prick pitting, nice bright shiny bore which appears not to have any pits-is rather dirty and could use a good cleaning; I believe it will clean up to be VG. Wood is in very nice cond, good fitting; forearm also very nice but has one chip out on the left hand side towards the top. Pretty decent example of a 1901. e

(EL-8675) VERY FINE FACTORY ENGRAVED WINCHESTER MODEL 97 BLACK DIAMOND TRAP
This gun features the typical trap shooting scene on one side of the receiver and a hunting scene on the other side. Marked on top of the receiver: 'Presented to W.B. Weidler by the members of the Buck Creek Hunting Club, 1907'. This inscription is in the Factory Letter as are all the other specifications on the gun. Overall gun has been used some but is in very nice cond with a 28" bbl, full choke, fine bore, matted rib. Orig 3X checkered deluxe grade Black Diamond wood is in very nice+ cond with a considerable amount of orig varnish and the correct hardrubber buttplate. Overall metal retains a considerable amount of blue which is starting to turn a plummish coloration with good traces of blue on bbl and mag; the receiver retains about half the blue. Nice, clean, all orig gun complete with Factory Letter. e

26" solid rib, modified choke, bbl retains almost all blue, forearm is in very nice cond, VG bore. The front half of this gun is serial numbered just over a million, serial range on the receiver is 575,XXX; it has had some cleaning done and is mostly a grayish coloration, nice slick action. Buttstock has some extra figure and is in good to VG cond, a White Line recoil pad has been added. Nice, slick handling Model 12; somewhat hard to find in a 20 gauge. Decent gun.

 Very interesting gun. Engraved on both sides of the receiver is a trap shooting scene. This is a factory pattern that Winchester used occasionally but is rarely seen. Gun features two 28" bbls; one modified, one full and retaining approximately 80-90% orig blue. Both forearms are checkered deluxe burl wood. Rec retains 70-75% orig blue with a slight toning of brown appearing here and there. Orig wood has been freshened and recheckered but is not sanded or undersized; looks to be in fine cond; complete with a red Winchester recoil pad. Very scarce 2-bbl set. Serial number W21X which is on the side of the frame and the bottom of the bbls. The bbls have been shortened to 12”, walnut stock has been cut off at about 8” long. The entire side of the rec has been milled away to show the internal functioning of the mechanism, there’s a slot on the top of each of the bbls about 2” long by ¼” wide that shows the dummy cartridges inside the chambers. The gun is complete with a triangular shaped counter top display board that has the maker’s label, two dummy shot shells and a brass plaque marked ‘Winchester Model 21 Factory Cut-away. Workers sample. Serial # W21X’. This gun has been featured in numerous articles as well as on the cover of the ‘CADA Gun Journal’. Complete with Letter of Authenticity explaining the functions and reasons for its existence from the manager of the customs shop, Borno Pardee. Truly a unique, one of a kind item in nearly new cond-just a few light handling mars and dings.
