WINCHESTER MODEL 92 TAKE DOWN RIFLEItem # W457 Cal 44-40. 24" full oct bbl and full length mag tube. Excellent bore. Original sights include a buckhorn rear sight and folding tang sight. Nicely figured grained wood in fine condition with most original varnish and only a few light handling mars. Correct original rifle style buttplate with special order cleaning rod trapdoor which is present. Also included are the rare eyes for Winchester sling and includes correct sling swivels. Gun is all original complete with Factory Letter of Authenticity listing the take down, 44 caliber, oct bbl, plain trigger, rod in butt and sling swivels. Very unusual combination. Early antique serial range. 95% original bbl and mag blue toning slightly. Receiver retains about 75% original thinning blue starting to turn plum on the bottom. Gun also has most original case colors turning dark on hammer and lever. Traces on the buttplate. Very desirable gun with the early antique serial number and unusual features.
WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 MUSKETItem # W630 W630 WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 MUSKET; Scarce cal 32-20. Original 30" full round bbl with original sights. Original musket stock in generally VG condition with correct sling swivels and only a few handling mars. No splits or cracks. Very slight chip of wood missing in the upper right hand side near the tang. Good bbl markings. Overall metal is generally VG+ with 50% toning blue on bbl. Receiver is mostly flaked and is a plum/brown patina with traces of blue. All original with a few minor mars in the bbl, looks as though someone has taken the bbl off for some reason. I guarantee that it is the correct bbl for this frame. VG+ condition overall. Nice clean little gun.

Original wood is in very nice condition with an extra finished grade Walnut being used. Rifle style buttplate. Overall metal shows some moderate use with a couple of light dings in the mag tube. VG traces of original blue with the balance turning a plum/brown patina. Nice clean gun with a good tight take down lock up mechanism. Hard to find.

WINCHESTER MODEL 92 ROUND RIFLEItem # 4219 Cal 44-40. Original 24" full round bbl and full length mag tube. Bright shiny bore with a few minor pits. Original sights. Wood has a few mars and dings and a little varnish added but not sanded. Complete with rifle style buttplate. Overall gun retains about 50-60% bbl and mag blue with traces of blue in protected areas on the receiver. Balance having flaked and turned a plum/brown coloration. Nice clean little gun.
WINCHESTER MODEL 92 HALF ROUND RIFLEItem # 4212-20-144 Scarce 24" half round half oct bbl and button mag. Original wood is generally good with a few hunting usage mars. Rifle style buttplate. Overall metal has seen some usage but still generally VG with good markings. Somewhat of a frosty appearance overall. A few minor pits. Complete with antique serial number. Hard to find early 44-40s with antique serial numbers and this would make a good shooter.
WINCHESTER MODEL 92 SPECIAL ORDER FULL OCTAGON BARREL WITH BUTTON MAGAZINEItem # 4233 Cal 32-20 with VG shootable bore. Original sights. Original wood shows a fair amount of use but still sound and serviceable. It has the unusual Australian Home Guard markings. Overall gun is mostly a plum/brown coloration with good markings and sharp corners. Nice functioning action. All original and in generally good condition.
WINCHESTER MODEL 92 OCTAGON RIFLEItem # 4232-20-198 Full oct bbl and full length mag tube. The gun is chambered for 38-40 having been set back into the frame; shortened on the breech end and re-chambered. Consequently it has a perfect bright shiny bore. Should make a good shooter. Bbl and mag tube retain about 75-80% good blue. Receiver is mostly a plumish brown color with some wear to the corners. Wood is generally VG with a light coat of varnish added but not sanded. Features original sights. Nice functioning action.

Overall gun has been re-finished and is in excellent condition with good sharp corners and bbl markings. Good functioning action. Stock has been cleaned and is in excellent condition as well with a light coat of oil having been added. Good crisp sharp gun that should make a good shooter.

Original wood has a light coat of varnish added but looks VG with a rifle style buttplate, Bbl and receiver appears to have a very old refinish and about 50% of that remains with the balance turning a plum/brown patina. Gun looks pretty good and has a good shootable bore. Correct sights which include the Lyman target front sight. Missing elavator.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 RIFLE IN CALIBER .44-40Item # 5453-19-119 Special order round barrel, half length magazine tube, VG shootable bore, original sights. Smooth clean metal has turned a dark plum blue patina coloration, Walnut stock has a shotgun butt with a chipped toe and a couple of gouges, is otherwise solid.

Original wood is in about good condition with a number of achievement notches on the forearm. Original buttstock shows some use and a few repairs in the wrist area. A few minor cracks which has made it quite usable and functional. Rifle style buttplate. Bbl retains about 50% blue turning brownish patina. Receiver shows a fair amount of use. Some rounding to the edges but no pitting. A couple of replaced screws. Good serviceable gun. Complete with early antique serial number.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 RIFLEItem # W272-19-105 24" round bbl, full magazine tube and crescent butt. 392,XXX SN range. Receiver is mostly silver/grey. Bbl is a medium brown patina. Quite a bit of blue on the mag tube. Slight dent in the mag tube that does not affect the spring. The wood is good fitting both at upper and lower tang and the buttplate. Forearm wood is also nice with no cracks or losses. Wood has the normal handling marks. Bore has decent rifling, scattered pitting and overall condition fair to good. May clean up? Cal 38 WCF.

All original except for the end of the bbl has been shortened approximately 1/4".

The receiver metal has aged to a greyish color. Bbl is greyish/blue. Good markings. Original sights. Nice action and VG bore. The wood is VG and fits and looks nice! Probably had some oil rubbed in years ago. This is nice example of standard configuration oct bbl 92!

Perfect fitting wood with the normal dings and scratches; more so on the forearm. Appears to be a light coat of oil having been added? Good bore with some roughness, may clean up to be VG? 1906 gun.

Retains 75-80% thinning blue on the full oct bbl, about the same on the receiver, traces of very nice case colors on the lever and hammer, full mag, orig sights. Pistol grip checkered wood, rifle buttplate. Exceptional bore. Very fine antique special order rifle in nice condition.
WINCHESTER MODEL 92 ROUND BBL, BUTTON MAG RIFLE IN 25-20Item # W3-20-104 Nice receiver blue at approximately 75-80%, bbl is a blue brown with some thinning and wear spots, buttstock is perfect fitting with most factory finish remaining, forearm also great cond and has been lightly freshened up. Bore could use a good cleaning; I believe it will be a good bore. Very good looking rifle, orig sights.

Pretty clean metal with some scratches and dings, all markings are VG. Good looking, full fitting wood with a rifle butt, coat of finish has been added sometime ago. Good to VG bore on this 1917 vintage button mag Winchester.
SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 RIFLEItem # W6-17-163 .38-40 Caliber. 24" one-half octagon bbl, full length magazine, VG shootable bore, bbl and magazine finish have darkened and turned an even bluish plum patina coloration, the frame has thinned to an even plum patina, original flip up Lyman combination front and tang sights. Fine condition non-checkered pistol grip stocks, original hardrubber shotgun buttplate is missing a tiny piece at the toe. Complete with matching Cody Research Form.
WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 RIFLEItem # 9141-20-168 Caliber 25-20 with an excellent bore. It has a 20" round bbl which has been cut down from a 24" and 2/3 length magazine tube. 85% toning blue in the bbl and mag. Receiver is mostly gunmetal grey coloration having the blue flaked off of it. Wood in about good condition with a rifle buttplate. Should make a good shooter.
WINCHESTER MODEL 92 SERIAL NUMBER 29Item # 8977-20-137 For years this was considered the lowest known serial number 92 that had surfaced. Since then serial number one turned up a couple of years ago. Full oct bbl with full length magazine tube. Original combination front sight, flip up barrel sight, and model 62 series tang sight. VG shootable bore with some roughness. Bright with sharp rifling. Wood has been lightly cleaned and is in excellent condition with rifle style buttplate. Metal is near excellent condition with 20-25% blue in mostly protected areas, the balance having turned a plum-brown gunmetal grey coloration. With matching Research Form.
CUSTOM ENGRAVED and GOLD INLAID WINCHESTER MODEL 92 RIFLEItem # 9116-18-52 Re-chambered to 357 mag. Original 24" full oct bbl. Full length magazine tube. Mint bore. Original sights. Overall metal is in beautiful condition. Receiver is elaborately engraved with an oak leaf pattern done in relief. Gold and silver animals inlaid on both sides of the frame as well as gold lines and acorn motif on the frame, the bbls, the cap and the buttplate. Fancy deluxe walnut stock in excellent condition with rifle style buttplate. Beautifully done little gun. Should make a great shooter in 357 mag caliber.
WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 SPORTING RIFLES SHIPPING CRATEItem # 8825-16-105 Original dovetail-jointed crate with the older-style Winchester logo. Measures 10 x 10-1/2 x 45-3/4. Heavy marking pressed into the wood on both ends show the contents. Interestingly, one end has the markings upside down compared to the other end. Missing the top and internal gun dividers. Partial hinges remain where the top was attached at one time. Showing signs of age, but still in very nice condition.
ROUND BARRELED MODEL 92 WINCHESTER WITH FULL MAG AND CRESCENT BUTT IN 38 WCFItem # 8607-20-166 Gray brown receiver and a thinning blue brown on the bbl and mag tube, retains blue in the protected areas. Very nice buttstock, forearm is in good cond with no cracks or losses. This rifle sports a shiny, VG bore. Handsome old rifle that looks just the way it should.
WINCHESTER MODEL 92 DELUXE SHORT RIFLE IN 44 CALIBER SMOOTH BOREItem # 8484-20-173 Orig 20 full oct bbl, full length magazine, orig sights, exc bore. Orig deluxe checkered fancy straight stock wood is in exc cond with metal shotgun style butt plate and correct short style forearm. Overall gun retains nearly all of the orig blue, shows very little signs of use. I believe this is one of the guns that was made up for the MGM movie company in the 30's; it has all the configurations of that grouping of firearms. They have appeared in a number of variations-almost all were 20" short rifles. This one has probably some of the most unique features I've seen and I think it is the most desirable. Very attractive. An asset to any serious Winchester collection.
WINCHESTER 44 WCF MODEL 1892 RIFLEItem # 4094r-20-158 24 round barrel, full magazine. Shows quite a bit of use and character, but overall nice colors and not a lot of dings. Lower tang and wrist repaired -- very solid. Barrel is a pleasing plum-blue color. Receiver is also plum-blue, turning silver. Just below the 455XXX serial number is a secondary stamp "9397," also a small importer's mark on barrel in front of fore end. VG wood has been freshened, looks good, but forearm tapers in front of frame.
WINCHESTER MODEL 92 SHORT RIFLEItem # 8273-20-172 20 inch full oct bbl, full length magazine tube. This is of a carbine configuration and is one of a grouping of guns that were made up for the MGM movie studios back in the 30's. They were made up out of take-down 24" rifle bbls and shortened to 20". They had trapper forearms, carbine butts, saddlerings, oct bbls. Very interesting little gun; this is probably one of the better ones I've seen with 95% bbl and mag blue; 50-60% real clean receiver blue toning to a plumish coloration, orig sights, outstanding bore in 44WCF.
MODEL 1892 WINCHESTER BUTTON MAG SHORT RIFLE IN CALIBER 32 WCFItem # 8297-20-167 Considerable thinning bbl blue, receiver has turned mostly a medium brownish gray patina, very nice wood that is good fitting, no cracks or losses, crescent butt. Forearm also good shape on the wood with the normal dings, scratches, etc and is sound with no losses or cracks. Nice slick action, fair bore.
WINCHESTER MODEL 92 20 INCH SPECIAL ORDER SHORT RIFLE IN CALIBER 44-40Item # 8170-20-162 Round bbl. VG bore is bright with sharp rifling has just a bit of frost or very light pitting. Full mag. VG Wood has been freshened and had coat of linseed oil added. Rifle style buttplate. Frame, bbl, mag, and fore-end cap in the white, prepped for refinish. Correct sharp markings, exc action, correct sights. Should make a fine shooter.
WINCHESTER 1892 ANTIQUE ROUND BBL RIFLE WITH SPECIAL ORDER BUTTON MAGItem # 8189-18-30 Bore has good rifling but some roughness and a pleasing aged patina on all metal surfaces. Lightly freshened wood is in VG overall cond. Nice tight action on this 44 Caliber antique.
VERY RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 SHORT RIFLE IN 25-20Item # 8166-18-45 An ample amount of blue remains on the 20 round bbl with the remainder beginning to turn, receiver also retains some blue but is mostly a blue brown. Button mag, rifle butt, good wood, fair to good bore, orig sights. A short rifle in 25-20 is very scarce.
WINCHESTER 1892 .44 CALIBER SHORT RIFLEItem # 8169-19-137 Octagon bbl, FM. Bbl is polished and in need of bluing, mag tube has been reblued, redone case colors, crescent buttplate. Some blotchy original blue and some touch up cold blue on receiver. Nice wood that has been refinished, original sights, good bore.
SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER 1892 RIFLE IN 38 WCFItem # 8175-19-124 Full octagon barrel, button magazine, shotgun butt, VG+ bore. Nice original wood that has just enough usage marks to make it look great; does have a very well done, small toe repair. Lots of bbl blue which is thinning, lightly cleaned receiver has some blue in protected areas but is mostly gray. Would be a dandy shooter!
