VERY EARLY POST-64 WINCHESTER MODEL 70 RIFLE

Item # W381-20-248

VERY EARLY POST-64 WINCHESTER MODEL 70 RIFLE This gun is 708XXX. This would probably represent the original format of the post-64. The gun is in excellent condition. All finish remaining. Possibly never fired. If you have a nice collection of pre-64 model 70s, you should have a post-64 model 70 so you and your buddies can compare them. This gun would be an excellent one for such a collection. As new and comes with original box!

Modern  $ 750.

WINCHESTER POST-64 MODEL 70

Item # W383 -20-241

This is an early 1967 gun. By now Winchester had already been blasted for 3 years about their "new and improved" model 70. Things weren't going well for Winchester and they were scrambling to come up with a model 70 that people wouldn't hate. They still weren't quite there, but were improving slowly. By early 67 this would be about their 3rd attempt to make a better gun. This is a very nice example. All blue remaining. All wood finish remaining. Little or no wear anywhere. This gun is pretty much "as new". Mounted on this gun is an early Bushnell 4X scope on the traditional Weaver mounts. There isn't much sense having a nice collection of pre-64s if you don't have a couple of post-64s for comparison to show Winchester's screw up in 1964.

Modern  $ 675.

VERY RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 777 BOLT ACTION RIFLE

Item # 4222-20-251

These guns were made by Nikko in Japan in 1979 only. 1,000 were manufactured and only 3 were ever exported to the United Stated. A few years ago I had one and now I got this one out of Australia. Other than that they are almost unheard of in this country. This one seems to be a pretty scarce caliber 243. Designed with a light weight style bbl. Fancy deluxe burl walnut checkered stocks with a Monte Carlo cheek piece and a Wundhammer swelled grip. Very unique gun. It is engraved "Winchester" on the upper receiver. The floorplate is also engraved. Features sling swivels and a hard rubber buttplate. Nicely made gun. Extremely scarce. About 98-99% conditon with only a few light handling mars. No Winchester bolt action collection would be complete without one of these!

Modern  $ 3,775.

WINCHESTER MODEL 53 RIFLE IN 32-20

Item # 4235

Cal 32-20. Original wood is in excellent condition with just a few light handling mars. On the right side of the forearm are some gouges but generally in fine condition with most original varnish. Should make a good shooter.

Modern  $ 895.

WINCHESTER MODEL 53 RIFLE

FACTORY ENGRAVED WINCHESTER MODEL 54 BOLT ACTION RIFLE

Item # W371-20-231

FACTORY ENGRAVED WINCHESTER MODEL 54 BOLT ACTION RIFLE Very scarce gun with correct original Mannlicher stock featuring the round cheek piece and pistol grip checkered stock. Wood is in excellent condition with checkered steel buttplate and correct Model 54 sling swivels. Ramp front sight is matted and neatly engraved all the way around it with hooded front sight. No rear sight slot. Cal 30-06. Mint bore. Has a Redfield factory installed receiver sight. Also equipped with a side mount aperture for a scope. I'm sure the factory installed the Carl Zeiss scope with excellent optics. Gun is fairly elaborately engraved with a floral design on the floor plate as well as the trigger guard. Front and back of the bbl is engraved as is the receiver. Overall gun is in excellent+ condition retaining nearly all original blue. Shows very little if any signs of use. Gun is guaranteed to be 100% correct. John Olin made up a number of these manlicker stocked 54's when he took over the running of the Winchester Arms Company to give to his good friends. This is apparently one of them. Extremely rare and in excellent condition complete with Letter of Authenticity from Herb House, the former curator of the Winchester Museum in Cody, Wyoming. He describes most features on this gun. After close examination I conclude that it is probably the work of Alden Ulrich. Very scarce gun!

Modern  $ 12,900.

VERY RARE WINCHESTER HOTCHKISS CUT-AWAY 2ND MODEL SPORTING RIFLE

Item # W2849-18-255

This cut-away rifle was part of a collection of personally assembled and owned guns by the late 'Lieutenant George B. Aldee'. He was a very colorful individual-a highly decorated Civil War officer. Later on, he worked for Winchester as a sales representative. He was quite instrumental in the development of the Hotchkiss rifle. He won the 1882 Creedmore rifle matches. This gun is very well documented with numerous letters; some of them coming from individuals such as Bennett, the Vice President of Winchester, in regards to his shooting at Creedmore. Overall gun is in near excellent condition with 75-80% original nickel which is flaking and turning a very mellow patina coloration. Original semi-deluxe stock is excellent retaining most original varnish, original sights, fine bore. Very interesting gun; guaranteed 100% all original and complete with Factory Letter of Authenticity from the Buffalo Bill Historical Society listing it as a nickeled sporting rifle, sectionalized" which would mean that it's a cut-away rifle. Quite unique, especially with the extensive paperwork and documents that accompany it.
