1874 SHARPS SPORTING RIFLE

1874 SHARPS SPORTING RIFLE Cal 40-70 bottleneck. Original 30" lightweight full oct bbl measuring 3/4" at the muzzle. Original sights include typical blade front sight and flip up Sharps patent rear sight. Bbl is marked "Old Reliable Sharps Rifle Co. Bridgeport CT". Original checkered forearm with plain uncheckered stock. Double set triggers. VG shootable bore. Some scattered light pitting but sharp rifling. Bbl retains 90% original blue starting to turn somewhat dark. Case colored receiver with very good traces of case colors in the protected areas. Mostly turning a darker silver. Stocks are generally VG with most original varnish and scattered mars and dings on the buttstock and a small chip out of the forearm. Good looking 1874 sporting rifle!

SHARPS NEW MODEL 1863 PERCUSSION CARBINE IN .52 CALIBER

22 barrel, original sights. Overall gun shows a fair amount of usage, metal is a dark gray patina coloration with some scattered pin prick pitting. Forearm has a few cracks and a couple of missing pieces. Sound buttstock with brass buttplate and patchbox.

Cal 45-70. 32" heavy oct bbl. Period sights. Replacement folding tang sight. Original buttstock in VG condition with a rifle style buttplate. Appears to have a homemade forearm on it. Good pattern markings on the breech. A Civil War carbine frame converted to a sporting rifle. Sharp corners. Plum/brown patina on bbl. Traces of cold blue on frame and a fair amount of aging plum/brown patina coloration. Good looking old gun!

SHARPS NEW MODEL 1863 CARBINE CONVERTED TO METALIC IN 50-70 CENTER FIRE

SHARPS NEW MODEL 1863 CARBINE CONVERTED TO METALIC IN 50-70 CENTER FIRE Approximately one of 30,000 that were manufactured after the Civil War that were converted to 3-groove rifling. Overall condition is outstanding with nearly all of the vivid case colors as well as about 99% bright glossy blue. Correct saddle ring. Vivid case colors on the buttplate. Original wood is untouched with a sharp cartouche and original saddle ring. Excellent plus inside and out. Probably unfired.

22" original bbl. Overall gun in excellent+ condition with fine wood with sharp cartouche. Good case colors on the cartridge box. About 95% blue toning slightly. About 90% good case colors on the receiver. Nice clean all original little gun.

VERY SCARCE SHARPS SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1870 MILITARY RIFLE Cal 50-70. Pictured in Frank Sellers Sharps book. He states that only approximately 300 of these were ever manufactured. Features the 74 style frame which is quite unusual. Its in the 250 serial number range. VG original wood having been cleaned but is not undersized. Correct sling swivels. Bbl is in the white. Receiver was originally case hardened and has turned a silvery coloration. Fairly respectable old gun. Complete with original sling swivels, ramrod and a Letter of Authenticity from Frank Sellers, author of the Sharps Rifle Book.

MARLIN MODEL 95 FACTORY ENGRAVED RIFLE

MARLIN MODEL 95 FACTORY ENGRAVED RIFLE Cal 38-56. Original 26" half oct bbl and full mag tube. Gun is elaborately engraved with a grade 5 pattern 1 featuring a moose on one side and a stag deer in an oval on the other side. Fancy Burl checkered pistol grip Dlx wood is checkered in D pattern. Retains most high gloss lacquer finish. Overall metal in fine condition with about 90% bbl and mag blue. Receiver has turned mostly nickel color with traces of case color in protected areas. Case colors showing on hammer and lever. Overall gun looks great! Complete with Factory Letter of Authenticity.

VERY FINE SHARPS 1878 BORCHARDT LONG RANGE SINGLE SHOT RIFLE

VERY FINE SHARPS 1878 BORCHARDT LONG RANGE SINGLE SHOT RIFLE Cal 45-100. Extremely fine gun! Original sights include veneer windage adjustable front sight. No rear seat. Folding tang sight with matching base on the back of the stock. Original wood has sharp rifling in excellent condition with a hard rubber buttplate. A few light handling mars. May have some varnish added but not re-finished or undersized. Retains about 95% bright original bbl blue. 50-60% thining case colors. Very nice English Walnut insert panels on the side plates. Very fine all original all matching Sharps Borchardt. According to Frank Sellers' book, only about 230 of these longe range were ever produced. Fine gun!

46 Caliber. 11,XXX serial number range, 26 oct bbl, only approximately 1,100 '53 sporting rifles made in this configuration. Overall gun is in exc cond with a considerable amount of orig blue remaining on the bbl starting to turn a plummish brown coloration, receiver has turned mostly dark but still has traces of case colors remaining, exc bore, orig sights. Orig wood has a few minor dings but retains most orig varnish; complete with iron patchbox, a pewter forend cap and double set triggers. All matching numbers, exc and all orig throughout.

SHARPS BOKER CONVERSION SPORTING RIFLE IN, WE ASSUME .40-70 CALIBER.

SHARPS BOKER CONVERSION SPORTING RIFLE IN, WE ASSUME .40-70 CALIBER. With a 30 extra heavy octagon barrel, VG bore. Barrel is a plum brown patina coloration with no markings visible, Lawrence rear sight is missing the staff, double set triggers, Springfield hammer. Wood shows use with a large crack in the buttstock that has been repaired with nails. 11+ lbs. The hammer is from a trapdoor Springfield. Looks great!

30 inch full octagon barrel, bright shiny bore, overall metal retains most all of an old professional refinish; turned a dark plum blue brown patina coloration. Barrel marked 'Old Reliable', German silver Rocky Mountain style front sight and Lawrence ladder rear, double set triggers. Near fine extra figured checkered buttstock with sling ring near toe. Good lookin' gun.

.52 caliber with three bands on 30 barrel, nice shiny bore, smooth clean metal with a plum brown patina and a few small areas of very light pitting. Overall wood is solid but underside of forend has a 6" crack that has been repaired. Complete with sling eyes and patchbox buttstock.

FACTORY ENGRAVED SHARPS MODEL 52 SPORTING RIFLE 26 heavy weight full octagon bbl in 52 Caliber, engraved brass patch box. Overall gun appears to have experienced a fair amount of Western usage showing that type of wear pattern to the stocks and the metal parts. Good markings, nice functioning action, mostly a plum brown patina coloration. A good looking gun. All original.

25,XXX serial number range. 26 full oct bbl, orig sights, VG bore. Orig wood is in generally VG cond with a very small repair to the toe which is hardly noticeable and a brass patchbox. Overall metal is a plum brown patina coloration with exc markings, mechanically exc. Clean gun which is basically a plum brown patina coloration overall. All orig, good looking gun.

Caliber 44, 21" round bbl, with standard 'Sharps Rifle Manufacturing Co. Hartford, CT' markings on top. Lockplates have '1852' date stamp, brass patchbox. Orig wood is generally VG with an old refinish and a couple of small cracks up on the forearm. Overall metal is decent with a blue brown patina coloration to the bbl as well as the receiver having a more nickelly appearance. Smooth clean little gun in a quite rare configuration. 23,XXX serial number range.

SHARPS SLANT BREECH MODEL 53 SPORTING RIFLE IN CALIBER .60

Orig 26" full octagon heavyweight bbl, VG bore, good markings, orig wood is in VG cond with brass patchbox, correct double set triggers, orig sights. Bbl retains most the blue which has turned a patina plum coloration, receiver has traces of case colors, nice markings. Sharp, clean, all orig little gun.

NEWLY MANUFACTURED SHARPS PERCUSSION MUZZLE LOADING MODEL 74 STYLE SINGLE SHOT RIFLE

Caliber .52 (made for bullet patch). Original 28 full round barrel, typical sharps flip-up rear sight. Original nicely checkered semi fancy grain walnut stocks are in excellent condition. Virtually all original finish remaining. Marked on the side of the barrel: "IBA marcheno made in Italy" As new inside and out-should make a good shooter.

MODEL 1874 SHARPS SPORTING RIFLE

Caliber 40. Orig full oct 30" bbl, Beaches front and orig factory rear sights, bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling. Orig wood stocks have a few minor usage marks but generally near exc with most orig varnish remaining, double set triggers, shotgun style buttplate as well as the 'Bridgeport, CT Old Reliable' bbl markings. Gun is guaranteed all orig with 75-80% toning bbl blue, receiver retains 20-25% case colors turning somewhat dark in areas. All orig throughout; complete with Factory Letter indicating the gun was shipped to the New York address of 'E.S. Harris'. Nice gun!

VERY RARE SHARPS LINE THROWING GUN

This is set up to fire 50 caliber carbine blank cartridge. The overall gun is in VG condition, with a saddle ring. Bbl is approximately 15" long. No rear sight provisions. No bbl address. This gun is guaranteed to be absolutely correct. One of the very few Sharp line throwing guns that I know to be correct. Wood is VG plus, as is the metal. Bbl is a silvery-brown patina. Frame has some case wear spots but it has clean smooth metal with traces of blue here and there. Action is excellent. Included in this kit is a fitted case with 5 flechettes, 2 hand held wooden dowels with rope, a neat compartment for your 50 caliber blank cartridges and a correct short cleaning rod all fitted in this custom built case. The case is very old. This nice complete outfit would be a fine addition to any Sharps collection or for someone who collects unique items.

Orig wood shows a fair amount of use but is still sound and solid with a brass patchbox and buttplate. 8,400 serial number range, good markings, mechanically VG, a fair amount of pitting on the receiver and lockplate, bbl is mostly a plummish brown coloration. All orig.
