REMINGTON MODEL #11 D GRADE TWO BARREL SET ORIGINALLY OWNED BY ANNIE OAKLEY

Item # MSG653

REMINGTON MODEL #11 D GRADE TWO BARREL SET ORIGINALLY OWNED BY ANNIE OAKLEY This gun comes complete with numerous documents from Major JW Hession on Winchester stationary. He states " 30 years ago today he started to work for Remington Arms Co. Annie had just resigned from their payroll and no longer officially connected to the company. She turned in her guns and the sales manager asked if I would like a couple of Annie's guns." They list the guns by serial number and apparently Mr. Hession worked for Remington for several years before going over to Winchester. Serial number of this gun is 65648. There is also some hang tags that are definitely old and list this as Annie Oakley's gun who shot all over the world. Interesting letters complete with the envelopes. Gun is in generally good condition having been re finished a long time ago and retains most of that blue. 13-3/4" LOP to the end of a Pachmayr recoil pad. Cicasian style walnut stocks are generally VG with nice sharp checkering. One bbl is 20" and marked full choke but has opened to cylinder. The other is 28" and is full choke. All matching numbers. This gun is fitted with four pins on top of the receiver that come out at an angle about 4" apart from each other. A shooting guide? Annie was known to spend a fair amount of time trying to teach the sport of shooting to other women. Original gun in generally good condition.

SERIAL NUMBER 2 REMINGTON MODEL 51 SEMI AUTOMATIC PISTOL

Item # R1153

Undoubtedly the lowest serial number known in private hands. Originally in Robert Peterson's collection for a length of time. Approximately 50 years ago he gave it to a good friend of his who happened to be Keith Coulter. He had it in his collection for about 45-50 years I understand. This is the first time it has been offered for public sale. It is a 380 cal. Overall gun is in surprisingly fine condition with about 95% original blue with light traces of high point wear on the corners. Completely unaltered. Excellent condition throughout. It has early features that didn't come on later guns. Rare opportunity to purchase a low serial number Remington. Remington did not make many of these and to have serial #2 would be a great plus for ANY collection, especially a Remington collection.

Modern  $ 12,500.

THE FINEST DOUBLE CASED SET OF REMINGTON NEW MODEL ARMY PERCUSSION ENGRAVED PISTOLS IN EXISTENCE

Item # R7777-17-577

This set comes from my own personal collection. Both guns are very elaborately engraved with some of the most spectacular engraving I have ever seen on a Remington. Coverage is at least 95% of all metal. Both guns are fitted with relief carved Goddess of Liberty ivory grips of which bear the writing Ribus Unum" on the bottom. The guns are fitted to an absolutely spectacular French style original Remington casing in excellent condition with a slightly faded red velour lining. The exterior is Mahogany with a presentation plaque on top. Just a few very minor dings and mars. Also accompanying the set is a correct brass flask, two casting molds, an L shaped nipple wrench and a box of percussion caps. Condition of the guns is Excellent+ with a considerable amount of original silver finish and gold gilding which is toning slightly. Still crisp and sharp metal with excellent markings. All engraving is very legible. The guns were made as a pair most likely for presentation reasons. The serial numbers are 5 and 226. These guns were alleged to have been presented to General Richard I Dodge. They are pictured in Charley Worman's Firearms of the American West book; manufactured approximately 1863. Absolutely an outstanding pair of guns and probably the finest double cased set of Remingtons known!

SERIAL NUMBER 7 REMINGTON HEPBURN DOUBLE BARREL M SHOTGUN

Item # R1083-18-399

I believe this to be an experimental or prototype. I have never seen or heard of another one like it. Marked on the watertable is simply "L L Hepburn December 18th 1883". Original 32" bbls with excellent pattern of Damascus retained on the outside. Shiny bores. I believe the buttstock is a replacement or a heavily sanded original. It is not undersized but the checkering is gone. Forearm is in fine condition with nice checkering. Case colored receiver is clean, sharp and in excellent condition with 30-40% original case colors showing. Very interesting, good looking gun. Very similar to the Hepburn single shot rifle with the breach opening lever on the side.
