MIROKU OVER AND UNDER 20 GAUGE SHOTGUNItem # MSG614-19-252
LANE & READ BOSTON MARKET GUNItem # MSG597-19-501 Very pretty gun with deluxe stock in VG condition. The furniture is a mixture of iron and brass. The forearm tip being brass and the trigger guard being iron along with the lock plate, buttplate and a couple other parts. Inset gold medallion says "Daniel Webster." Setup more like a standard percussion shotgun, although it is big bore! Approximately a 1" bore. Definitely sets it aside from your average shotgun. The trigger guard is of the square front variety. Rather unique. Dimension wise, this gun makes a little more sense than some of them. The bbl is a reasonable 34" and weight is approximately 10-3/4 pounds. It is a half stock and has a cleaning rod, dark brownish metal that has faded and a very pretty deluxe stock with a cheek piece. Top of the bbl has a rather unique spear shaped flat making sort of a rib for about 1/3 of the bbl length. Action is nice and solid. Daniel Webster must have been a hell of a man to pull the trigger on this baby!
BELGIUM MADE BROWNING SUPER-POSED MIDAS GRADE OVER AND UNDER 12 GUAGE SHOTGUNItem # MSG605-19-242
MASSIVE PERCUSSION MARKET HUNTERS GUNItem # MSG595-19-500 This gun tips the scales at almost 22-1/2 pounds. Bbl length is 43-1/2". Bore is approximately a 5 bore. Very few markings on this gun. Some sort of a proof mark on the top of the bbl and the numbers 35 on the side of the bbl. No maker indicated. This is a good, high quality piece and heavy duty it definitely is. Thick wall bbl. Relatively smooth metal which is a brownish coloration. Was is possibly a browned finish to start with. Some light pitting around the nipple area. The wood is in quite good condition. However it has had a couple of cracks on the left hand side. One from the buttplate about in the middle of the stock going forward and the other one on the left hand side above the trigger. Everything is good and solid. This is a very BIG HEAVY DUTY GUN!
