(12-512) GERMAN MADE ZIMMER SCHUETZEN IN 4MM ZIMMER SCHUETZEN CARTRIDGE
Marked ‘Georg Lechner Nurnberg’. Overall very near new with elaborate target sights, 28” barrel, matted rib. Plain walnut checkered stock is excellent with sharp checkering, Schuetzen style cheekpiece and buttplate. Overall metal is VG but could use a little cleaning; it’s got some very light surface rust that would clean off-still retains 90% bright blue; a considerable amount of vivid case colors remain on the lever and double set triggers. Gun works fine-we’ve been shooting it and it’s pretty accurate. ~~> VIEW PHOTO <~~ e

(10-559) MAYNARD MODEL 1873 TARGET RIFLE IN .40 CENTERFIRE
Original 32” half octagon barrel, fine bore; original folding tang and period front sights. Original wood is in very sound condition with very nicely carved initials (some type of a cattle brand?) on one side. Overall metal is basically an aged light plum brown patina coloration with traces of case color on the frame-turning dark. Nice, clean little gun but it appears that the action requires some light attention-it doesn’t function properly. ~~> VIEW PHOTO <~~ e

(10-595) WHITNEY SINGLE SHOT RIFLE IN 32 RF
Original 26” full octagon barrel, original sights, VG bore. Original wood shows a fair amout of use with some mars, dings and a very slight loss of wood to the horned Schnabel forearm; there’s a couple of chips out of it toward the front about 1/8” wide x ¾” long. Overall metal is an aged plum brown patina coloration with good markings, no pits. Covering this gun is a U.S. Dept of Indian Affairs approval seal authorizing the sale of this confiscated item. I’ve seen these before but don’t know much about it. Nice, clean specimen of a very scarce little Single Shot rifle. Interesting gun. e

(10-560) 2ND MODEL MAYNARD SADDLERING CARBINE IN .50 CALIBER
Original sights, dark bore-definitely needs a good cleaning. Original wood has the usual light rack dings and mars but is in excellent condition with no splits or cracks. Somebody took the liberty of very delicately cutting out the cartouche markings. Metal has traces of case colors, the balance turned dark and traces of blue with the balance turned a dark brown, excellent cartouche. Nice, clean, all original gun except where mentioned. e
