(12-80) SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 PENCIL BARREL RIFLE IN .25-35
26” full round extra rapid taper barrel, button magazine, excellent bore, generally smooth clean metal, 70% darkening barrel blue, the balance is turning a plum blue gray coloration, 15-20% thinning receiver blue; the balance is a thin plum gray patina, sights include a Lyman tang. Checkered pistol grip buttstock, hardrubber shotgun buttplate. Forearm probably replaced at some time as checkering pattern is not factory; some wood loss at front left side near the cap. Buttstock is in generally fine+ condition with a tiny sliver missing near the hammer. Scarce configuration. e

Original rear sight, Lyman of the period replacement front sight, excellent bore, full magazine. Original fancy grade straight stock wood is VG+ with a rifle style buttplate. Overall metal is excellent with 95% orig blue just slightly thinning in areas.
