Very nice wood with just a little shrinkage or very small sliver missing at the top corners, good to VG bore on this 38 Caliber antique. e

Good wood, has a rack number of 973 and a couple of other symbols. Good gun for the money. e

Lots of blue on bbl and mag; starting to lightly turn. Receiver is a blue brown, bore is VG, nice fitting wood with no cracks or loss of wood. This rifle was evidently part of a security system as the letters 'C.B.' and the numbers '221' are neatly stamped on stock. Could be a rack mark from a security firm or ranch? Good looking rifle. e

Approximately 85% very nice orig blue on rec and bbl, the full length mag tube has about 75% thinning blue, very nice visible case colors on hammer and lever. Wood could not be much better! With the scarce small Model 1892 markings directly below hammer. 24" round bbl with about average bore, some light pitting and roughness, full length mag, all metal is a brown patina with blue in protected areas. Decent forearm with no crack and no missing wood, buttstock is a fairly well done replacement with Winchester metal shotgun butt. A little abuse to a couple of screws, nice action. Good cowboy shooter material! e

This is 1 of approximately 400 so-called M.G.M. rifles that Winchester made from parts on hand for use in movie productions. Original 20 inch octagon short rifle barrel. Full mag, fine bore, .44-40. Carbine style butt, short trapper carbine style forearm with a carbine barrel band. Folding ladder rear sight. Retains 95% BBL and mag. blue. Receiver has flaked, turning plumish brown with traces of blue, correct saddle ring. Exc wood with sliver missing on the forearm, which likely happened during the scene where they tried to "cut them off at the pass." All original as manufactured. Ordered by the British War Department around 1916 for use as Home Guard guns. The rack numbers on the stock are also consecutive: ‘GB 356’ and ‘GB 357’. They both have a RBFM and fine bores. Both guns retain considerable blue on the barrels and magazines; receivers have traces of finish remaining. Most original varnish remains on solid walnut.
